Aerohire offer the UK CAA Night Rating for existing licence holders. The rating is conducted from our base at Wolverhampton Halfpenny Green Airport during the winter period (Weekdays until 1800) See the world from a new perspective – develop your existing pilot skills – a great first rating for pilots to add onto their PPL (Private Pilots Licence) or LAPL (Light Aircraft Pilots Licence).

Course Description
The Night Rating can be added to a PPL or LAPL, once completed, the rating permits you to fly at night under certain conditions. Once started, the rating must be completed in 6 months, from the start date.
Take to the night skies and enjoy a totally different and unique flying experience. Our night flying training will lead to an additional rating for your PPL or LAPL pilot licence allowing you to fly at night. We would love to join you on your new challenge as a qualified pilot. Whether you want a new experience, challenge or just want to enhance your existing skills, Aerohire have the aircraft and experienced team to support you.
- At least 5 hours of flight time at night – including at least 3 hours of dual instruction.
- At least 1 hour of cross-country navigation – with at least one dual cross-country flight of at least 27 nautical miles
- 5 solo take-offs and landings.
- Relevant *medical certificate which may include eye sight testing (requires a good general level of health, contact us if you have questions)
- For LAPL holders you will need to complete the Basic Instrument Flight trainng provided for the PPL (2 hours).

Prices include aircraft, fuel and landing fees. Aerohire never ask for payment up front.
